Honour killings of Men in the name of Equality

” In logon ka hee kasoor hoga……., voh bechari to apna ghar baar chhor kar aye hui hai…. Yeh log hee tang karte honge…..”. ” Dikhne mein to kitney sharif aur seedhey lagte hain, dekho to andar se kaise nikley…….”. ” Parayee beti hai na , is liye bura sulook kar lo, yahan kaun poochney wala hai…. yahi socha hoga inhoney….”. ” Par hum hain na , itni badnaami karenge k kahin muh dikhaney layak nahi rahenge “……………………these and many more such voices are quite common around us whenever a married girl accuses her husband or her in-laws of harassing her physically or mentally for so commonly used accusations of dowry.

People find it quite easy & convenient to regard the boy or the in-laws as demons and be biasedly judgemental by being in favour of the girl. Our society takes for granted the girl as innocent and harmless as a cow, ek abla auarat and her in-laws as culprits with all the ill intentions. Why the society is so biased against the boy & his parents. Are they not human beings?
The rise in flexibility of the boy and his parents to adjust the girl in their family in not just visible but also seems imminent as per the prevailing conditions.
The high and still increasing intolerance among girls after marriage for the sake of own comforts and leisure are the real culprits. Is society blind to the alarmingly high number of incidents of harassment to the boy and parents of the boy to push them towards some deadly results ?
The rise in flexibility of the boy and his parents to adjust the girl in their family in not just visible but also seems imminent as per the prevailing conditions. The high and still increasing intolerance among girls after marriage for the sake of own comforts and leisures while rejecting the need for adjustments is being unnoticed by all in general. The proud planning of the girls to get separation and enjoy and trouble free life after marriage while shouldering minimal responsibilities is playing havoc on Indian family structure.
Why the society is unable to see the plight of the old and helpless parents in case the boy succumbs to the pressure of the girl after marriage to get separated leaving aside not just their care but also the basic responsibilities at bay?

Girls of today have learnt to live a luxurious life while indulging in all sorts of ills and forgot the art of building homes with their commitment and devotion. The Society seems to be blind folded against the women violence, infidelity , frauds and criminal activities of women against her husband and in-laws.
The lady of the house which used to play the role of the thread holding the pearls ( members of family) tied to each other was the real power behind the strength and beauty of the pearls ( family). The self centered , egoistic, unadjustable and aggressive approach of present day girls are becoming an invisible ” fansi ka fanda ” not just suffocating but also taking a heavy toll on the lives of boys in the form of depressions, suicides.

How and when our society will awake from this cozy sleep of finding easy to regard a boy as the devil and a girl as a devi in general and will look realistically to save many lives from a drastic and sad end. If the danger of male harassment is not controlled and dealt with, the institution of marriage is going to get a deep damage. Moreover this is imminent to avert a clash of the sexes and save the society from becoming hostile to men while being biased in favour of girl.
